Young Scot is recruiting a new Chair of the Board
For the first time in our 40-year history, Young Scot is opening recruitment for our next Chair of the Board to candidates from outside the organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of one of Scotland’s best-known organisations for young people and to play a pivotal role in helping Young Scot deliver its mission to inform, empower and connect young people aged 11–26.
Our Board brings together a wealth of professional experience alongside the perspectives and lived experience of young people. Young people are an important part of our governance, helping to ensure that their voices are at the heart of the decisions that shape our organisation and our work.
As part of our commitment to meaningful youth participation, shortlisted candidates will also be interviewed by a Young Scot youth panel, giving young people a direct voice in the recruitment of our next Chair.
We’re looking for an inspiring and collaborative leader who can provide strong leadership to the Board, support and constructively challenge our executive team, and help ensure Young Scot remains ambitious, innovative and financially sustainable.
