This Must be the Place

About

In partnership with Nesta, this resource pack is based on their This Must be the Place initiative. This initiative is an interactive invitation to imagine a sustainable future Scotland. Nesta’s Scotland team worked with some of the people helping to design Scotland’s response to the climate emergency to create shared visions of a sustainable Scotland.

Nesta

The resource pack is based on Nesta’s This Must be the Place initiative. Nesta is the UK’s innovation agency for social good. They design, test and scale solutions to society’s biggest problems, with their three missions being to give every child a fair start, help people live healthy lives, and create a sustainable future where the economy works for both people and the planet. Resources

This this resource pack has nine scenarios, each with activities from Early to Fourth level of the Curriculum for Excellence and strong links with Learning for Sustainability. These activities will help you to support children and young people to imagine the place they want Scotland to look like in the future, with the information and tasks enabling them to understand what a sustainable Scotland could look like.  There are also opportunities within some of the tasks for young people to think about how they can be involved and help to work towards this.
