Am I a Young Scot partner?
Working in partnership is at the core of everything we do. Whether you are a school, local authority, youth group or work with young people in another capacity, we want to ensure that we can support you in the best possible way. We want the people and organisations that we work with to feel valued and informed as they work with us. To find out more about partnering with us please contact a member of our team.
Our work with local partners
As well as our core Young Scot team, we partner with dedicated staff within each local authority who can support your work locally with young people. This includes support with getting the Young Scot NEC and providing information on what is happening in their area. For more information on this, please visit our local pages.
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)
The UNCRC is embedded within our services, supporting young people to understand and exercise their rights. If this is something that you would like to discuss further, contact us .

Making Connections
Working in partnership with Young Scot can support you to connect with other organisations. This can help you meet targets included in specific policies, documents and outcomes such as the Youth Work Skills Framework, Curriculum for Excellence and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
For examples of some of the ways we have worked with organisations, please see below:
-
➡ Delivered by e-Sgoil and Education Scotland, DYW Live provides live sessions that support young people’s development of employability skills, career pathways and industry connections.
➡ Young Scot have worked closely with the team at DYW to deliver a variety of online sessions for young people, in the form of both workshops and webinars.
➡ These have included live sessions during the Covid-19 pandemic and online workshops focusing on information literacy and money.
-
➡ We want to ensure young people have access to all opportunities which will allow them to reach positive destinations.
➡ To facilitate conversations around alternative routes to further and higher education, we provide links to the SCQF website which you can use to help young people better understand their options.

➡ See Me, Scotland’s programme to end mental health stigma and discrimination, has launched a new free resource for secondary schools.
➡ This is a new approach to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination in secondary schools, bringing staff and pupils together to form an action plan designed especially for their school.
➡ The programme, designed in collaboration with schools and See Me’s youth champions, is for staff and senior phased students who are interested in learning more about the impact that stigma and discrimination have on people who struggle with their mental health in schools, and want to do something to make things better.
➡ Find out more about the programme on the See Me website.
➡ On completing the See Me See Change workbooks, young people will receive 200 Young Scot Reward points.
➡ They can only receive and use these reward points if they are signed up to our membership platform. For information on how to help young people sign up for membership, please click here.
