Rights at the heart of Young Scot magazine
Over 85,000 Primary 7 pupils receive free YS Magazine.
The schoolbag-friendly YS Magazine is packed full of puzzles, stories and discounts perfectly pitched to provide 11 to 12-year-olds with information as they prepare to become Young Scot cardholders.
Created to provide an offline source of information for P7 pupils, the magazine offers an introduction to Young Scot and the services that we offer young people.
It also includes a special UNCRC feature focusing on how young people can put their rights into action – including stories from young people in Rights Respecting schools and scenarios to put Rights knowledge to the test.
Young Scot CEO Kirsten Urquhart said:
“Providing a free source of offline information to young people within this Young Scot age range has been central to our vision and I am thrilled to launch our second issue of YS Magazine, which also includes features on cyber skills and book recommendations.
“To support young people to thrive and have fun it is crucial that we engage with all young people including reaching those who are not yet able to access our quality-assured information via social media accounts.”
