Young people in the Borders set to benefit from Borders Wellbeing 

Young people in the Borders are set to benefit from Borders Wellbeing – a digital campaign to support their mental health and wellbeing.

The campaign is being run by Scottish Borders Joint Health Improvement Team (Scottish Borders Council and NHS Borders), YouthBorders and supported by Young Scot.

The campaign will launch a new resource for young people in the Borders ‘Young People’s Guide to Mental Health and Wellbeing’.

This will be promoted alongside a new online mental health and wellbeing information hub for young people hosted on young.scot/borderswellbeing.  

Throughout the six weeks of the campaign, young people will be encouraged to take part in ‘Six Ways to Be Well’ weekly challenges to help improve their mental health and wellbeing. Those who take part can earn 150 Young Scot Rewards points each week for submitting their challenge entry. 

Young people can also earn extra points for taking part in other Borders Wellbeing activities, including answering a short questionnaire about mental health and wellbeing, downloading the Young People’s Guide to Mental Health and Wellbeing, and for following Youth Borders and Scottish Borders Youth Voice on social media. They can redeem their points for exciting health and wellbeing rewards, including Google Play vouchers, Headspace app subscription and Fitbit 2s.

How to get involved 

If you’re based in the Scottish Borders, encourage young people you support to get involved in #BordersWellbeing.

There are fantastic opportunities for them to take part in the weekly challenges, entering prize draws, claiming health and wellbeing Rewards, and accessing the Young People’s Guide to Mental Health and Wellbeing.
